Ricki-Lee Allison

Co-Owner & Director

Ricki-Lee started dance at the age of 5 with Margaret Carlson's Pre-Primary Ballet class. She has trained in ballet, modern, hip hop, jazz, tap and musical theatre. Miss Ricki has over 15 years of experience teaching in various communities on Vancouver Island, creating dance classes for all students to enjoy. She has completed her Royal Academy of Dance examinations to the Grade 8 Award and traveled to England to study with the International Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). She is a registered teacher with the ISTD and previously an associate of the Association of International Dance Teachers. Miss Ricki enjoys teaching students of all ages, from 18 months to adults, in a wide range of styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. After founding her own studio in Chemainus in 2014, Ricki-Lee joined the ownership team at Carlson's Dance in 2018. Miss Ricki continues to develop her skills by training with International Dance Teaching Standards and the Dance Studio Owners Association. Being part of many community centre programs and doing choreography for musicals keeps her busy but she also manages to balance spending quality time with her 5 year old son.
